Outreach 2024
We are constantly looking for ways to expose new people to the issues of health, diet and Human Ecology. Engaging new audiences and not simply “preaching to the choir” is important. Our reception has been very positive. Much can be done as long as the message is kept simple and the presentations are filled with useful facts and practical tools.
Our presentations at the Oxford Literary Festival and Gibraltar Literary Festival were greatly and enthusiastically received. It was a great joy for me to design the opening and closing gala dinner menus and provide daily vegan fare for the green room.

“Dear Marlene,
A huge thank you to yourself and Bill for that great presentation, the students are still talking about it and are picking their next vegan recipe to try over the next couple of weeks. I look forward to working with you in the future.
Best Wishes"

Outreach 2025
We hosted the first-ever WHY VEGAN? day, at the Oxford Literary Festival.
Many joined us at this informative event to explore the world of veganism, whilst dining on plant-based recipes that are not only delicious but nutritious.
It was an absolute joy to work with the team of chefs who prepared my vegan menu to such a high-standard. The response was very positive, receiving wonderful reviews from all of the participants.

“Hi Marlene,
Thank you so much for the kind words. It really means the world to me that all the attendees enjoyed their lunch. Thank you very much for allowing us to cook your wonderful menu. I learned so much about plant-based cooking and will be introducing this into my menus going forward for sure!
I’m so excited about moving forward and being involved with more of your work! It’s inspirational. I hope to have the chance to cook more of your menus soon and learn so much more! That would be amazing!"

Ideas to engage people
Our presentations at the Oxford Literary Festival were enthusiastically received. It was a great joy for me once again to design the opening and closing gala dinner menus and provide daily delicious vegan fare for the green room.
To open people to our health message, we first need to educate and inspire them. Once we’ve sparked their curiosity, we need to engage them in a way that enables them to directly experience the health benefits of a plant-based diet.
Food is critical to this process and needs to resonate with mainstream taste buds.
Once people have had this experience and committed to a plant-based lifestyle it assists our efforts to build a vegan world.

“Thank you so much for your kind words, which I was absolutely delighted to see on Saturday evening. I am so pleased that your WHY VEGAN DAY event went well.
All credit to Paul and the Baxter Storey team, whose skills, enthusiasm and professional pride shone through. They were excited and thrilled to work with your menus and present such delicious food.
It's been a real pleasure to work with you - your joy in what you do is inspiring and infectious!
All best wishes,"
